Coach hire and travel with EuroTours Holland means efficiency for allNowadays everybody is under increasing preasure to their bit for the environment, and coach hire is one way to help solve the problem!
We aim to reduce carbon emissions throughout our entire fleet, through internal initiatives. In addition we are also trying to cut fuel consumption by 3% across our fleet. We understand what's needed to manage carbon and other emissions from our coaches. We are now moning a step further and introducing proactive initiatives to deliver true carbon emissions savings.
37% of our coaches are equipped with a AdBlue system. Adblue is the registered trademark for AUS32 (Aqueous Urea Solution 32,5%) and is used in a process called selective catalytic reduction (SCR) to reduce emissions of oxides of nitrogen from the exhaust of diesel engined motor vehicles.
Our modern, well-maintained coach fleet already has one of the lowest levels of carbon emissions (EUR 3, 4 and 5) within the Europe coach industry, but we understand the importance of reducing our carbon footprint further still. More importantly, CO2 emissions, calculated in kilograms per passenger per journey, shows that coach travel is already ond of the most environmentally friendly modes of transport currently available.
An ongoing depot improvement program has been in place for sometime and includes the reduction of risk in fuel storage with the safe removal of ols tanks, conservation of energy and reduction of waste outputs from the maintenance area in part through the re-cycling of waste oil, batteries, tyres, airconditioning fluide, and other vehicle parts. Coach wash, toilet chemicals and a increasing proportion of other chemicals used in the cleaning and maintenance of coaches are environmentally friendly and in all compliant with local, sewer and stormwater regulation. Washing of vehicles only takes place within bunded areas with all discharge to sewer regularly tested.
Our Environmental Management System is an on-going commitment. EuroTours Holland do take the position corporate environmental responsibility seriously and see this as a part of the way we will do business into the future.
